Ginger is a wonderful ingredient that comes with several health benefits. It is loaded with nutrients and bioactive compounds that have powerful benefits for your body and brain. Gingerol, the main bioactive compound in ginger is the reason for its many health benefits. It has anti-inflammatory and antioxidant effects. These antioxidants and other nutrients in ginger may help prevent or treat arthritis, inflammation, and various types of infection. Ginger is also effective against nausea. It may also help lower blood sugar levels and improve various heart disease risk factors in people with type 2 diabetes.

Ginger medicinal uses aside, it is perhaps the best aromatic that works wonders in your curry, but have you ever explored its slightly more refreshing side? You’ll be pleasantly surprised with the new dimension of flavour it adds to various drinks, be it hot or cold.

Fresh Ginger Tea

Ginger tea benefits are well-known to all of us since several generations. It’s what we turn to every time we have a cold or flu. Here’s a simple way to make it at home. Put the grated ginger into a teapot and pour in the boiling water. Allow the mixture to steep for 4 minutes. Strain the tea with a teaspoon of honey along with some squeezed lemon. Stir and serve to enjoy the benefits of ginger juice with lemon in the morning.

Boil water, add a piece of ginger, half a spoonful of Tata Sampann Turmeric Powder with Natural Oils and a cinnamon stick. Let it rest for 20 minutes. Strain the water and serve the hot tea. This tea has a rich aroma with a very spicy flavour and is very soothing for your throat!

Ginger Nimbu Soda

Place grated ginger and lemon juice in a small saucepan and let it sit for 2-3 minutes to allow them to turn pink. Add a spoon of sugar and ¼ cup water to the saucepan and place it on high heat. Bring the mixture to a boil. Lower the heat and simmer for 2-3 minutes, stirring to ensure the sugar has dissolved. Take this off the heat and give it a few minutes to return to room temperature. Pour it in your glass, add a few cubes of ice and top it with club soda. Serve garnished with a slice of lemon and/or a sprig of mint.

Ginger Mint Refresher

Put the juice of one lemon, two and a half cm of chopped fresh ginger, finely sliced cucumbers and four tablespoons of chopped fresh mint into the blender and turn it on. Once they mix well, add three cups of water along with some ice on them and turn it on again. Serve it in a glass over ice and enjoy it at any time of the day!

Ginger Pineapple Smoothie

Everyone loves a smoothie! Here’s a lip-smacking, delicious one! Take 1 1/2 cups diced fresh Pineapple, 1 Banana, 1/2 cup Vanilla Greek yogurt, 1 Tbsp. grated fresh ginger, 1/2 cup ice, 1/2 cup Pineapple juice or water and blend it together for a refreshing smoothie.
